Artist: Bronwyn Searle
This illustration by Bronwyn Searle, depicts the Pandora manoeuvring to
take on board one of its boats shortly before running aground on the
reef. HMS Pandora was a 24-gun British naval frigate, designed by Sir
John Williams in 1776 and built by Adams, Barnard and Dudman of
Deptford. In 1790 the British Admiralty sent the Pandora, under the
command of Captain Edward Edwards, to the South Seas. Her mission was
to find the mutineers of the Bounty and bring them back to British
justice.
Bronwyn now is combining her artistic skills as an illustrator and a
painter to produce her own blend of personalised oil paintings that are
highly sort after when she exhibits and displays her work.
